On January 21, a 36-year-old man was arrested after threatening to stab a 31-year-old woman as well as his ex-wife for hanging out too often.
His plans backfired when he was caught by the police near a food stall on Chen Fook Road at 4:20 PM in Tawau, Sabah, as reported by Harian Metro.

He was upset that the woman took his ex-wife out
Tawau District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Jasmin Hussin said the suspect, felt upset and called the victim around 10 PM on January 17 (Friday).
The unemployed suspect threatened to hurt the victim and his ex-wife because he was mad that the woman kept taking his ex-wife out without his permission.
“During the call, the suspect said he wanted to harm the victim and his ex-wife. The victim, worried about the threat, then filed a police report.”

He has 2 prior criminal records
Jasmin said that following the report, police managed to track down the suspect and arrest him yesterday afternoon, seizing a mobile phone to aid in the investigation.
He further mentioned that the suspect has 2 prior criminal records related to drug abuse and had been arrested for trespassing.
The suspect is now in custody for further investigation under Section 506 of the Penal Code.
