In a recent viral video, @iamnurkhadijahh shared a story on TikTok about her cousin’s (let’s call her Siti) close call with 2 strangers who almost towed her car at an R&R Tapah Northbound.

In the video, Khadijah recounted how her cousin and a friend were on a road trip when they stopped at a petrol station. While there, one of the men approached Siti’s friend, claiming that he needed to tow their car.

The man claimed it was because of pending payments

According to Khadijah, Siti’s friend instantly panicked upon hearing the man’s claim that their car needed to be towed due to supposed pending payments.

In her distress, she quickly reached out to Siti, informing her about what the man had said and the situation they found themselves in.

Siti decided to confront the man

When Siti arrived and confronted the man, she didn’t hesitate to question him about why her car was supposedly being towed. She even went a step further by requesting a formal letter of explanation to justify his actions.

“The man suddenly said he’d call his boss to confirm. But after checking with his boss, he later revealed that, after looking online, my cousin didn’t have any pending payments, and then quickly fled the scene,” Khadijah explained.

She went on to express her growing concerns about the rising number of similar incidents, where individuals like these will go to great lengths to pressure you into giving up your keys.

“If you ever find yourself parked in a basement, make sure you’re aware of your surroundings before getting into your car. Lock it immediately and avoid distractions like using your phone,” she advised.

The investigation is currently ongoing

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Khadijah revealed that the matter has already been reported to the police, and her cousin’s statement has been taken.

Khadijah also shared an important piece of advice for everyone, saying,

“Please remind everyone to stay vigilant and avoid using their phones in parking lots, public areas, and especially in basement parking, restrooms, and R&R areas. It’s crucial to remain aware of your surroundings at all times.”
