But, why John Legend of all people?

Well, the simple answer is why not?

Malaysians, as well as the rest of the world, absolutely love John Legend after all. He’s a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter who has found his way into people’s hearts.

In fact, according to Sandeep Seth, Vice President of Global SK-II, the ultimate goal was to show everyone how truly amazing the PITERA Essence is, “so we thought, what better way to do this than to work with a legendary singer-songwriter.”

With that, the OH PITERA love song was born!

So what is the PITERA Masterclass series about and where and when can I catch it?

This entertaining series will revolve around James Corden and Naomi Watanabe as they travel around to the most unlikely places to learn about the origins of PITERA–one of Japan’s best-kept beauty secrets and the most important ingredient in SK-II’s bestseller ‘PITERA Essence‘. One of these locations includes a sake brewery situated right in the heart of Japan. Wow!

What’s makes the PITERA Essence so special?

Known as the Miracle Water in Asia, the PITERA Essence has been known to give women around the world crystal clear skin.

What’s more, the PITERA was discovered 39 years ago in Japan and is derived from a natural fermentation process from a special yeast strain that is exclusive to SK-II.

The discovery of the PITERA actually started as a quest to understand why elderly sake brewers in Japan had wrinkled faces but extraordinarily soft and youthful-looking hands. Long story short, it was because their hands were in constant contact with the sake fermentation process. Who knew sake had such great skincare benefits! 😛
