Two teenagers, aged 18 and 15, were detained by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) after a viral video showed them performing a dangerous motorcycle stunt recently.

In the clip, the teenagers were seen riding a motorcycle dangerously on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, by performing a ‘wheelie.’Screenshot 2026 02 09 124143

The 15-year-old, who was riding pillion, even dragged his head along the ground during the stunt.

Arrests made following undercover work

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa stated that the teenagers were arrested today (9 February) in Sungai Buloh at approximately 2:30 AM.

In a statement, Zamzuri further revealed that the arrest was made following undercover work and intelligence gathering. It was later revealed that the offence was committed on 30 January between 3:30 AM and 4 AM.

Parents and guardians urged to monitor their children

The police also seized the black Yamaha 135LC Fi motorcycle used for the stunt. Zamzuri added that the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.

“Members of the public or witnesses with information are urged to come forward to assist the investigation by contacting the Tun H.S. Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999 or any nearby police station.”

Members of the public, especially teenagers, are advised not to ride motorcycles recklessly or perform extreme stunts on the road. Zamzuri also urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s activities and motorcycle usage, and to discourage any involvement in illegal racing or hazardous stunts in the interest of public safety.
