Malaysia breaks records again with an all-time high of 15,573 new Covid-19 cases as of 23 July.

Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections in the country with 7,672 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur with 2,063 cases.

The infectivity rate seems to be following a downward trend with an r-naught value of 1.07 as of 22 July, which means that one infected person is able to spread the virus to 1.07 other people.

Meanwhile, Malaysia also recorded the highest number of vaccinations in one day on 22 July with 507,050 doses administered nationwide. Of that number, 335,977 were administered their first dose and 171,073 were administered their second doses.

Let’s hope that the increased rate of vaccinations will be able to bring the daily infections down and that more Malaysians will be protected from Covid-19.

Stay tuned for more updates!
