Given how animal abuse and cruelty is frowned upon by society at large, we would assume that most people will know better than to do harm to creatures that are completely helpless, to begin with. However, a recent incident that occurred in Rawang comes to show that there will still be bad apples in every basket, or worse still, completely rotten ones.

Shared by Malaysian animal activist group Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia over their official social media today, it has been found that a group of over 11 cats were poisoned to death outside a residential apartment in Bukit Beruntung.

While the culprit is still at large, it is believed that the cats were fed food containing poison after they were found to have been a nuisance, leading to their untimely deaths.

Their bodies were found together, and the association is currently appealing to the public for more information as to the identity of the person behind the heinous act.

For those who have any information regarding the killing of these cats, please contact Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia through Whatsapp at  +601120901097.
