If you’re a woman driving alone, chances are you’re all too familiar with the precautionary routine of locking your car door immediately once you enter your vehicle and constantly checking your surroundings to make sure no one followed you. While some may think that these measures are a little extreme, they’ve saved countless women from horrifying experiences.

Recently, one such woman took to Twitter to share how locking her car door immediately upon entering the vehicle saved her life from a naked man who tried to open her door. It is unknown as to whether the man is mentally stable.

“That guy was walking around naked. He tried to open my car door. Luckily I always lock the door first every time I enter my car,” penned @rafikarroslan.

When World of Buzz reached out to her, she told us that the incident happened at a roadside parking area at Jalan Teknorat 5, Asia Metropolitan University, Cyberjaya. “When the incident happened, I was ready to hit my car horn or click the emergency call button on my phone if he somehow managed to get into my car, because I was sure my door was locked,” she told WOB.

Thanks to her quick-thinking and caution, she managed to save herself from what could have been a horrifying experience. “I quickly informed my colleagues about what happened, as I had just finished a meeting with them. I made sure I was calm enough to drive before I made my way back home,” added the netizen, who is also known as Iza.

“I’m glad that I made it a habit to always lock the car door to prevent bad things like these from happening to me.”

Iza definitely made the right move in protecting herself using this precautionary measure and we advise all drivers, especially women who are driving alone, to do the same!

Stay safe, everyone.
