Woman Uses Cow Poop to Protect Her Car From Extremely Hot Weather That’s Over 40 Degrees

Any Malaysian will be able to tell you the struggles we have to go through in our very hot and humid country and the measures we take to keep cool, but now with air-conditioning available in almost every building, we tend to stay indoors most of the time.

However, it’s a different story when we have to get into our car that’s been ‘baking’ in the blazing sun for hours upon hours while we go about our daily activities, and it probably takes several minutes to cool the car down before entering it. No matter what we do, we can’t really escape the scorching heat of the Malaysian sun.

With that being said, a woman in western India found a rather peculiar way of protecting her car from the extremely hot temperatures in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where she lives.

Sejal Shah did the unimaginable and covered her entire car exterior with cow poop! Yeah, you heard that right.

According to Indian Express, she got the idea from the old insulation practices of rural residents, who used cow dung to cover the walls and floors of their homes during extreme weather conditions.

Sejal had to resort to covering her car with cow dung as parts of India like Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra and Odisha were recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius! Officials advised the locals there to stay indoors between 10.30am and 3pm to stay safe from the hot weather.

Photos of Sejal’s car soon went viral, eliciting different reactions from netizens.

“Best use of cow dung I have ever seen,” wrote Facebook user, Rupesh Gauranga Das. “To counter 45 degree heat temperatures and protect her car from getting hot, Mrs. Sejal Shah has plastered it with cow dung. Getting cool.”

“This is the most stupid thing I’ve ever come across,” another user commented.

“Did it work? I am thinking that this would actually heat it more, since the ‘source’ of heat along with the passengers will be inside the insulation!”

Besides being used to keep structures warm in the winter and cool in the summer, cow poop is apparently also used as a natural disinfectant and mosquito repellent. Some even dare say that cow dung stops radiation in phones while others claim it cures cancer, reported Times Now. Who knew?

What do you think of this strange way of keeping a car cool? Do you think it’s actually effective? Let us know in the comments below!
