Have you seen the video going viral online, showcasing a woman blocking the way and holding on to the front of a Proton Wira as it drives past a traffic light? Were you wondering what was actually going on?

Well, the people involved in the incident has finally come forward.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the Port Dickson District Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin has since revealed that the 32-year-old woman was attempting to stop her 58-year-old husband after he ignored her advice to not leave the house.

Block 1

“The husband and wife are Indonesian citizens, came to the Port Dickson police station to give a true explanation of what happened after learning that it had gone viral on social media.”

“The couple, who live in Port Dickson, said that before the incident took place, they had been arguing at home because the husband wanted to go to their son’s house in Teluk Kemang,” he shared.

Block 2

The woman tried to stop her husband from driving as she was worried about his constantly sickliness, as he had very recently received treatment at the Port Dickson Hospital for various illnesses.

“It is understood that the man still went out without paying attention to his wife, and he continued to leave the house while driving his Proton Wira. Unexpectedly, the woman then hitched a ride on a motorcycle ridden by her neighbour and was finally able to locate the husband at the traffic at Batu 1 Jalan Pantai, Port Dickson,” he added.

Block 3

The woman then attempted to stop the car driven by her husband from continuing his journey, as seen in the video going viral online.

They have since apologised for the incident and admitted that it could have harmed themselves and other members of the public.

Considering the man’s sickly condition, perhaps he should have listened to his wife.

But then again, the wife could have also tried to solve the problem without endangering herself and the husband could have stopped immediately when the wife stood in front of his car.
