We are all living in an increasingly materialistic world and using certain brands can give someone a sense of status; so many use various ways (legal or illegal) to get their hands on brand name products such as Apple, LV and so on.

Just recently, a very peculiar incident happened in an Apple store in Fujian and it features a woman biting the anti-theft cable to steal an iPhone!

A CCTV footage of the incident was uploaded online and many people were mindblown by the woman’s ways.

According to HK01, the woman surnamed Qiu went into an Apple store in Fujian as she had lost her phone and wanted to buy one. When she went into the store and saw how expensive the iPhone 14 Plus was, she decided that she would steal it.

At first, she tried to tug on the cable but it was not giving way, so she looked around and once no one was looking, she bit into the cord with all her might, setting the phone free from any constraints. The woman quickly put the phone into her bag.

The staff who was on duty heard the alarm ring but closed it immediately as they thought that it was just the alarm malfunctioning, which allowed Qiu to escape.

However, after checking, they found that there was indeed a phone that had gone missing and checked the CCTV footage to find out what happened.

They were very shocked at how the woman had bitten through the cord but nevertheless, they lodged a report with the local police who were able to identify Qiu.
