A 48-year-old woman, who suffered physical and emotional abuse from her husband, beheaded him, chopped off his penis and fed it to her dogs.
Maria, from Ukraine, told the police that she had been “suffering domestic violence for ages and murdered her husband to put an end to it” and justified that it was the “only way out”.
On 23rd August, Maria attacked her 49-year-old husband in their bedroom after he had come home from work and fallen asleep. First, she strangled him to death using her hands, then grabbed an axe and chopped his head off.

She then took a kitchen knife and chopped off his penis before feeding the organ to her dogs, reported Daily Mail. She also attempted to cut his body into pieces, but she wasn’t successful.
After she had killed her husband, she ran out of the house into the street covered in her husband’s blood. She was immediately spotted by her neighbour who went into the house to see what had happened.
“Her hands, feet and clothes were in blood,” the neighbour said.
“She said, ”I am in trouble. I’ve killed my husband.” I did not believe her. I thought they had a quarrel and she might have hit him. I went to see if he needed medical help.”
“When I walked into the room, I saw his mutilated body. The bedsheets were soaked with blood. I asked her, ”Where’s his head?’, and she replied, ”There, in the sack”.”

Despite feeling sick, the woman’s neighbour managed to reach and alarm other neighbours who called the police. But before the police could even arrest her, Maria confessed to murdering her husband and told the police all the details.
“The suspect confessed in full at the scene. She was charged with murder and taken into custody,” a police spokesperson said.
“The woman said that she was constantly suffering physical and emotional abuse and did not see any other option to end her misery.”
“Neighbours say they, in fact, saw the husband beating her up and chasing her with an axe a lot of times. However, the woman has never reported the incidents.”

Meanwhile, Maria’s son said that he cannot forgive her for what she did to his father.
“I know she is my mother. But I do not want to see her any more,” he said.
Maria now faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty, while investigations continue.
Physical and emotional abuse should not be taken lightly. The woman must’ve felt so trapped being with her husband.
