That certainly looks like the case with this Indonesian man who woke up in a state of shock to find a woman getting ready in his bedroom. In a TikTok video by a user (@muhammadyooga) that has since gone viral with over 227,000 likes, a forgetful new husband can’t seem to remember whether he has married the woman standing in front of him.
“What are you doing here?” he asks his bride.
She turns around and looks similarly stunned that her husband would ask such a question just a day after they exchanged their vows to a lifetime commitment. “I’m your wife, aren’t I?”
The husband immediately realises his mistake and says he forgot that they were already officially married!
Another TikTok video from the user shows the perspective of the groom who was fast asleep. His wife can be seen trying to wake him up by gently nudging him but the groom wakes up in a state of shock. He immediately grabs the pillow from under him and playfully hits her.

Netizens in the comments found the incident hilarious and said that they too, faced similar experiences waking up next to their partner the first day after getting married.
