A married couple in Singapore went viral recently thanks to what netizens dubbed “precision family planning” as get this, all four of their children share the same birthday on 6 September!

As reported by The Straits Times, the four siblings, three girls and a boy were born on 6 September 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2023 respectively. Furthermore, all were born by natural birth and delivered by the same gynaecologist.

The couple, 49-year-old aircraft technician Salihin Ahmad Perbah and 39-year-old housewife Khairunnisa Abdul Karim revealed that they definitely didn’t plan for all four children to share the same birthday.

Moreover, as how you may deduce from the 8-year gap, their fourth child was unexpected as they had planned to stop having children after the birth of their 3rd child in 2015.

Of course, having all your children share the same birthday does have its advantages and Salihin asserted that it is easy to remember and money-saving as there is no need to hold birthday celebrations of different days at various places.

The couple further shared how every 6 September, there would be multiple birthday cakes and multiple guest lists as each child gets to plan their own birthday celebration and make a gift request.

Meanwhile, Dr Jazlan Joosoph, the obstetrician and gynaecologist at Raffles Hospital who managed the births of all four children said that it is uncommon for more than two siblings to share the same birthday, especially if all were natural births.
