Water Cuts Scheduled In The Klang Valley Starting 30 March & 6 April
Air Selangor has just announced that there will be several water cuts scheduled to take place in the Klang Valley at the end of March and beginning of April to make way for maintenance work and replacement of old water pipes.
1. Removal and replacement work for an old pipe in Persiaran Selangor Section 15 in Shah Alam.
The first scheduled water disruption will take place for 48 hours at five areas in the Petaling region, 14 areas in the Klang region and 12 areas in the Shah Alam region starting 9am on 30 March.
The water supply is expected to be fully restored at 9am on 1 April.

2. Replacement of raw water valves from the Klang Gates dam
There will be a temporary shutdown of the Bukit Nanas and Wangsa Maju Water Treatment Plants which will cause a 68-hour water disruption in 12 areas in the Gombak region and 46 areas in the Kuala Lumpur region.
Water cuts are scheduled to take place starting 9am on 6 April and is expected to be fully restored at 5pm on 9 April.

Meanwhile, Air Selangor is also planning to carry out maintenance work on several water treatment plants, namely Cheras Batu 11 on 15 June, Sungai Langat on 6 July and Sungai Selangor Phase 1 on 5 October.
“However, the implementation of these scheduled works are subject to approval from the National Water Services Commission (SPAN),” the statement said.
“Air Selangor will provide updated information on the areas involved and the supply resumption times after we obtain approval from SPAN.”
Air Selangor reminds the public who are affected to keep an adequate supply of water and to use water sparingly during the water disruption.
