When you park your car incorrectly or somewhere you’re not supposed to, it would be no surprise to see one of your wheels being clamped up as a form of punishment.

However, one Malaysian was left confused after he returned to his car to find it clamped despite him parking it correctly in a parking spot.

In a video shared on social media, the man said that he had parked in the parking lot of a shopping mall in KL but returned to find his car being clamped despite it being parked appropriately in a parking spot.

In the video, the car which is a white Perodua Myvi is seen parked up in a parking box and was not disrupting the flow of traffic or parked somewhere it shouldn’t have been.

The man also pointed out that his car is parked in the box properly and that his friends car which was parked right in front of his car did not suffer the same fate.

He also mentioned that no reason was given as to why his car was clamped.

Left Malaysians confused

The video has gone viral and left plenty of Malaysians feeling confused just like the man. Everyone was wondering why his car was clamped even though it didn’t seem to be in the wrong.

“I also want to know why it was clamped. Is there no part 2?”

“Is there another video where you find out the reason after meeting with the management… we want the answer too“, commented a user.

Another user commented, “Maybe the security clamped the car because the doors were not locked and they were worried that something could’ve happened. Should’ve gone to the management and recorded their justification… at least we’d find out the ending”.

On the other hand, some netizens slammed the man for taking a video instead of just going directly to the management to sort out the issue.

“This happened to me when I was staying at a hotel in Selayang. After I checked out, I noticed that my wheels were clamped. Did I take a video that time? No. I went straight to the management to handle the issue“, said a user.

Another commented, “If it happened to me, I wouldn’t have wasted time to record a video, would be better to head straight to the parking management office”.
