Facebook user @NutAbdullah recently posted a video of an angry Honda CRV driver driving off with his car still clamped with its wheel lock, in an apparent show of anger and ‘I don’t give a sh*t’ attitude.

Posted on June 8, 2022 on the Facebook group ‘You Park Like An Asshole (Malaysia)’, the video shows the driver being told off by security guards for him parking at The Wharf (Puchong Prima).

Security Guards

He quietly gets into his car, and immediately drives off WITH THE WHEEL CLAMP still attached to his front wheel.

He reverses and drives forward his car a few times to get out of the parking slot and to get the metal wheel clamp from obstructing his way. The wheel clamp ends up being dragged underneath his car, damaging the inner wheel arches, the wheel wells, his front bumper, and the act completely destroys the wheel clamp itself.

In the short 45-seconds clip, many more parking spots were seen available in the area, and we wonder what the two security guards must have told him or the reasons for clamping his vehicle at that very spot.

Netizens were quick to point out the costs of unclamping one’s vehicle or paying the summon (if any) versus the vehicle repair costs  – not including the time it takes to service one’s car at the workshop.

Cost Of Repairing

Netizens have also pointed out that the driver could have paid for the wheel clamp fines, but it was his ego that blinded him to acting irrationally.

Ego

As usual, parking at the correct spots and legally might be a nuisance for some drivers, but the costs associated with the fines and clamps are definitely not worth it, as agreed by commenters.

Finally, we leave you with this hilarious comment which just has to be included:

Condom

Unless you have deep pockets, we urge you to park at the right spot and pay the fines for a wheel clamp, instead of causing undue damage to your own vehicle – ouch!
