Whether it was intentional or by mistake, one vehicle owner left a durian at the boot of his car’s trunk, only to be devoured by a wild monkey residing in the area.

Taking to social media, 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, shared images of how a monkey ravaged through a large durian all on its own.

Theorising that they may leave the fruit out to avoid the smell from lingering in the car, this is truly a case of ‘One man’s loss, another person’s gain.”

The monkey did not hesitate and started peeling away at the fruit, probably happy with how lucky he got after having spotted the fruit out in the open.

Commenting on the images, netizens wrote that if the person could not bear the smell of the fruit, they should not eat durian to begin with.

“If you can’t stand the smell. Better not eat it.”

Well, let’s hope that this incident will be a lesson to the vehicle owner to not leave durians, especially the expensive ones out in the open. It might attract more than monkeys nowadays.
