Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a handful of news regarding unusual sightings related to the preparations for Malaysia’s National Day celebrations.

One tank allegedly broke down at Jalan Damansara four days ago, and there was an issue during the Jalur Gemilang flag-raising ceremony at Monday’s rehearsals for the Merdeka parade.

Yesterday, another video of a military tank on Kuala Lumpur roads went viral.

In the video shared by @malaysianupdatenews on its TikTok page, a unit of military tanks can be seen passing by Jalan Raja Laut in front of the Medan MARA building.

The assumption is that they were heading towards Dataran Merdeka for the National Day parade rehearsals yesterday.

Most people who saw the tanks would think it unusual as tanks are not the type of vehicle a civilian is used to seeing on the road.

However, the presence of the tanks was not the only surprise on the road that day.

What was more surprising and amusing to netizens was how one tank almost crashed into another tank that immediately stopped right in front of it.

The tank braked and avoided an accident when the tank in front of it suddenly stopped.

This caused the tank at the back to sway back and forth on its treads, which netizens found cute.

Meanwhile, one netizen pointed out that even if both tanks collided with one another, the damage would not be severe as they are tanks, after all.

Hopefully nothing like this happens during the parade tomorrow!
