Little kids are always curious about new things and it’s natural for them to want to do whatever they see grown-ups doing. They may not understand the reasons why they aren’t allowed to do certain things but maybe it’s better if they found out on their own.

A toddler from Mianyang, Sichuan, China went viral after a video of her eating green chili peppers caught the attention of netizens.

According to Chinese media, the little girl saw her family eating the pepper at dinner and wanted to try one. Even though her parents probably told her that she can’t eat it, she insisted on trying one herself. So, her mother gave in and let her have a bite of the chili.

A video shows the girl holding two peppers, one in each hand. She excitedly takes a bite from one of the peppers but immediately expresses her displeasure.

Before the bite of chili was even fully in her mouth, the girl spits it out and gags before touching her tongue. She then holds her tongue with her hand in an attempt to rub away the hot taste while her mother can be heard giggling in the background.

This girl is so cute! Hopefully she now knows to listen to her parents when they tell her she can’t do something. Who knows she might be a great chili-eater when she grows up?
