A lion dance is usually performed at a place to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits. In some cases, the lion’s appearance is also there to entertain the children who find joy and amusement.

In a video shared by the Facebook page 沙巴斗湖普照寺醒狮团 Persatuan Buddhist Tawau, a group of performers was invited for a lion dance performance at an indoor playground in Tawau, Sabah. It’s a common practice for some places and organisations to have a lion dance performance once in a while but this time, what made this performance adorable was not only the kids who had fun with the performers.

It was also the performers’ decision to glide down the slide while “staying in their characters”.

Just right before the lion glided down the slide, the excited children were already waiting and anticipating for the lion to come down through the slide. This was undeniably one of the cutest lion dance performances not just the kids have ever seen, but us too!

“This is my first time seeing a cute lion dance performance.”

“The big cat is playing together with the children!”

“How can it be so cute?”

“This lion dance performance is just too cute!”

You can watch the adorable clip below.

Not gonna lie, our inner child got excited too for a bit seeing the lion dance performance!
