WATCH: Lahad Datu UMNO Division Polls Sees Brawl Amongst Members

A fight amongst UMNO members recently took place during the Lahad Datu UMNO division delegates meeting yesterday.

The fight, believed to be rooted upon member provocations saw 2 individuals injured at the event which took place at Dewan Sri Perdana, Lahad Datu, Sabah.

The matter was later investigated by the Lahad Datu District Police.

“We have identified the two male suspects, who are also Lahad Datu UMNO members,” they stated in a statement.

“The case is being investigated under Section 15(3) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 and Section 323 of the Penal Code.”

According to Lahad Datu District Police Chief ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad, both individuals have since recorded their statement. He said that those with additional information on the matter are welcome to help with the investigation.
