It is common knowledge that since January 2019, smoking has been prohibited in all enclosed and open-air restaurants, coffee shops and hawker stalls throughout the country, but many seem to have forgotten that recently.

Taking the initiative to enforce that very law, this Health Officer shows what life is like asking people not to puff away at restaurants.

“You think that it is okay to smoke. When you take a drag, people around you are looking at you. There are kids here too, yet you still puff away,” the stated.

Though they are not authorized to make arrests, the officers can be seen in the video confiscating tobacco products and issuing summonses to offenders.

So, all you have to do is simply stop smoking in public spaces or pay the fine if you think what you’re doing is not wrong.

Simple, right?
