Although it has only been a short while since she was appointed as the Youth and Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh seems to have hit the ground running by being proactive and constantly finding solutions to long standing problems.

Her actions have drawn praise by plenty of Malaysians who have reacted positively towards her proactive approach to listening to the concerns of people and finding workable solutions.

In similar fashion, Yeoh was recently spotted at the Kiara SkatePark as she listened to the concerns of young skaters on what improvements should be made to the skate park.

In a TikTok video shared by @dap_tikthetok, Yeoh was walking around the area next to a young female skater who informed her of what improvements are needed.

The video started off with Yeoh telling the girl that it was closed for a day recently, however she had informed them to stay open as it was during school holidays.

The girl then went on to ask Yeoh to urge the skate park to open at night as it currently closes at 7pm. She said that this would mean that kids like her would be able to use the skate park after tuition classes which often end at night.

The video then ended with Yeoh and the girl holding hands as Yeoh helped her to navigate the uneven terrain.

She always delivers!

The video of Yeoh’s interaction with the young skater has since gone viral on social media platforms. Plenty of netizens took to the comments section to praise Yeoh for actually listening and caring about the concerns of the skater.

“I feel so incredibly proud to have a Minister of such calibre in our government.”

“So caring, loving and motherly, above all (she) seems so genuine,” said a user.

Meanwhile, others took to the comments section to agree with the suggestion made by the young skater.

“All skateparks should close at at least 12am, because most people would like to skate after coming home from work on weekdays.”

Another commented, “These kids deserve the spot to stay open up till 10pm at least. It’s their way to de-stress themselves.”
