Grief is something that most humans feel when they lose someone precious to them.
In a viral video, we see a dog seemingly expressing its grief when its feline friend died after being run over by a car.
The video was posted by TikTok user @innerthoughts.99 and in the span of 5 days, it garnered more than 17 million views.

In the 30-second clip, we see a dog in front of several establishments, digging up a hole while holding the corpse of a cat in its jaws.
When the hole was deep enough, it gently laid the corpse into it. After that, the doggo then used its muzzle to push the soil so that the cat is covered.
It is unknown where this heartbreaking scene took place.
In the caption, the TikTok user mentioned that they witnessed the scene when they were passing by.
“The dog and cat were standing next to each other, waiting to cross the road. Sadly, the cat got run over and the dog started whining.”
“The dog waited patiently to grab the corpse and brought her to where this video was filmed,” she added.
Many netizens said that this short video made them tear up and some shared stories of how their pets mourned another animal’s death.
