The Agong was accompanied by his son, YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah, and Education Minister, Dr Radzi Jidin. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the SOPs present and if everyone was comfortable in abiding by these rules set.

He expressed his gratefulness to the Education Ministry, schools and teachers for their readiness on returning back to school ensuring everyone’s safety and to prevent the risk of infection among teachers and students throughout the school.

Our Agong, being the people’s man, even joked around saying that he’s never been behind a teacher’s table before as he’s always just been a student. He also took the opportunity to advise students and teachers alike to adhere to the new normal.

“I understand there are other students eager to return to their schooling life and meet their friends. Hopefully these students can be patient for now.”
