The new vivo Y33s has arrived in Malaysia and it’s the latest addition to the Y-Series devices. A sleek and trendy smartphone that offers great overall performance, the vivo Y33s is suitable for all users who are seeking the answer to all their ‘That’s Y’ questions in a smartphone.

“vivo has always innovated smartphones for people to find their ‘That’s Y’ moments with technology. Packed with a large battery capacity, 18W Fast Charge, new 50MP tri-camera lens and gaming chipset with performing processes in the vivo Y33s, there is much that is offered in a smartphone in this category. With its affordable price and stylish look, the vivo Y33s is the most suitable smartphone for Malaysians to unleash their creativity in every ‘That’s Y’ moment,” said Mike Xu, Chief Executive Officer of vivo Malaysia.

Sleek and Trendy Smartphone with Luxurious Feel. That’s Y.

Built with a 2.5D flat frame with a large battery into an 8.0mm thin body and weighing about 182g, the vivo Y33s offers users a premium feel. It is also comfortable to hold, suitable for everyday activities. The rear cameras are elegantly organised and crafted into vivo’s signature Dual Tone Step, which invites users to explore the powerful photography capabilities within.

vivo introduces next-level textures and hues to Y33s with its two colour variants:

• Mirror Black – uses vivo’s latest double-layer coating technique that intertwines the elegant shade of black with a glossy sheen. Looking into the black mirror, users will discover a hidden world of light, shadow, texture and endless lustre.
• Midday Dream – has a delicate, embossed AG texture that delights with a frosted feel. An additional layer of liquid crystal coating adds smoothness and reduces fingerprints on the phone. Bask in the eye-catching orange and blue gradient, Y33s captures light with every turn.

Visually, the vivo Y33s comes with a 6.58-inch FHD+ in-cell display, offering a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio with 96% NTSC Colour Gamut, which delivers bright colours and vivid details for viewing pleasures. From streaming videos to playing your favourite games, the 1080P visual experience on the Y33s is silky smooth and delightful. Users will also receive eye protection with the built-in blue light filter, removing harmful blue rays from the user’s eyes.

Getting through the Day with Powerful Processing Performance. That’s Y.

Another unique feature of vivo Y33s is the Extended RAM 2.0, where the device is fitted with an 8GB RAM. If that is not enough, it can be amplified with an additional 4GB RAM from its idle 128GB ROM space to make switching apps even smoother.

Powering the vivo Y33s is a 5,000mAh battery, with an 18W Fast Charge and vivo Energy Guardian. There is no worry about battery life as charging is fast and safe while battery capacity can allow users to use the device on a full day without the need to recharge. The vivo Y33s is also capable of reverse charging, which turns the smartphone into a mobile powerbank on the go.

At the heart of the vivo Y33s is the Helio G80 octa-core processor, with a CPU clock sped up to 2.0Ghz. The GPU within offers more power, higher image quality and stronger performance than its predecessor, making vivo Y33s stand out in games and visual performance.

Powerful Camera Technology, Clarity in All Lighting. That’s Y.

In line with its ‘Joy of Humanity’ concept, vivo is committed to bringing innovative photography technologies for its users to experience and complement their daily lifestyle. That commitment is reflected in vivo Y33s as it is equipped with a 50MP triple camera system, which consists of a new 50MP+2MP+2MP camera system, offering great photography capabilities to users.

The new 50MP main rear camera sensor redefines the meaning of high-definition photography in a smartphone, capturing life’s best moments effortlessly with pristine clarity in every shot, whether zoomed in or cropped. Complementing the powerful main camera is the Bokeh Camera, which has been upgraded to make the background look even more natural in bokeh mode. This creates an artistic depth and quality that is perfect for a creative shot. For close-up content lovers, the Super Macro Camera captures clear images of the world of tiny wonders, with a focus as close as 4cm.

To give a complete photography experience, vivo Y33s is equipped with the latest Super Night Mode algorithm. By combining multiple frames into one, the latest RAW-level super noise reduction technology in the vivo Y33s delivers beautiful, clear night shots as experienced in real life. The rear camera also never loses focus with the Eye Autofocus, creating stunning portrait showpieces every time. Together with the Super HDR, vivo Y33s automatically accentuates colours in highlights and sharpen details in the shadows, creating a balanced final image that is harmonious all-round.

As for video capabilities, the vivo Y33s offers the EIS Ultra Steady Video, delivering steady results in video content. Meanwhile, Face Beauty for Videos and Smart Editing turns raw footage into beautiful reels that capture the highlights of life.

Clear Selfies Day and Night to Capture the Best Personal Moments. That’s Y.

Over the front is the 16MP selfie camera, capable of capturing selfies in HD for users to be confident and look radiant all day with vivo’s very own portrait algorithm. The Super Night Selfie noise reduction technology and Smart Screen Flash lights up the face against low light backgrounds to create clear and natural results with rich details even in the dark.
