A video has been circulating on social media recently which showed an altercation between a couple of police officers with a woman who claimed to be a higher-ranked police officer.

As reported by Lobak Merah, the video is believed to have been recorded in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur and shows the woman scolding and belittling the Lance Corporal-ranked police officers.

In the video, the woman, wearing a tucked-in white shirt and black trousers can be heard shouting and pointing at one of the Lance Corporals.

She can be heard saying,

“You’re not worthy to take my IC and my authority card lah. You’re just a Lance Corporal, not an OCPD.”

“You don’t have the authority, your rank is lower than mine. You’re not an OCPD to talk like that to me with such a lowly rank.”

Following the incident, doubts arise about the legitimacy of the woman’s claim that she is a high-ranked police officer.

According to a police report by the two Lance Corporals, they came to the location, a food court in Gombak, after receiving a complaint from a citizen about a woman posing as a police officer to purportedly collect an old debt from the complainant.

As soon as they arrived at the location, the complainant and the woman were already there. When the two Lance Corporals requested for the woman to present her IC and police authority card.

Afterwards, she only produced her IC to the Lance Corporals but refused to show the latter, hence the altercation seen in the video.

The woman then allegedly told the Lance Corporals that she was not afraid of the two making a police report against her and subsequently left the scene.

As of the time of writing, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has yet to release any statements regarding the incident.
