Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd has released a statement announcing that the LRT Kelana Jaya line is currently experiencing disruptions due to the heavy rain and floods experienced in and around Kuala Lumpur.

Specifically, Rapid Rail revealed that repair works are currently underway for components on the LRT train track between Wangsa Maju and Sri Rampai stations.

Thankfully, as of 3.30pm, Rapid Rail has managed to make the necessary repairs and services have resumed as normal.

Train services between Wangsa Maju and Sri Rampai LRT stations halted

The track suffered damages in an incident at 10.20am today, whereby unusually heavy rain caused water to flow into the ground-level tracks and damaged a few components.

Accordingly, Rapid Rail had to cut off the power supply at the location to allow for inspections and repair works to be conducted.

Hence, intermediate train services have been activated between Gombak and Wangsa Maju stations, while trains toward Putra Height will turn back at Wangsa Maju station.
