UPDATE: 15 New Covid-19 Cases Reported In Malaysia Today (22 June) With 0 Deaths

In his latest live telecast to the nation today (22nd June 2020), Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that Malaysia has recorded 15 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases in Malaysia to 8,587 cases. At this point in time, 289 cases are still active and are being treated in hospital. No deaths were recorded today.

The breakdown of new cases are as follows:

  • two imported cases that involved Malaysians returning from abroad
  • 13 cases involving migrants in Malaysia; one from Selangor, and 13 from Negeri Sembilan

An additional 21 Covid-19 cases have recovered and have been allowed to be discharged from hospital.
