To work in the retail sector, it’s not only about patience but also the level of attentiveness and how friendly you are. A tourist from China recently expressed her gratitude and happiness after receiving warm and friendly services from the salesperson at the Pavilion shopping mall in Bukit Bintang, KL.

The video was reshared on YouTube, and the tourist said that the salesperson in Pavilion is civilised, and she praised them for not judging her based on her appearance. While she did not reveal her full outfit in the video, we can get a glimpse of her skirt and her sneakers before she continued to record the decoration of the mall, and verbally expressed what she felt.

“Despite my outfit, the salespeople here continued to entertain me without hesitation,” she added.

She said that the salespeople patiently asked if she was going to buy the items and if the perfumes smelled nice.

It’s only natural for retailers to treat any potential customers politely, so in case you’re wondering why is this a huge surprise for Chinese tourists, here’s what she had to say.

No such thing in my homeland

The tourist revealed that back in Shanghai, she wouldn’t have received such friendly treatment for the salespeople there. In fact, some of the salespeople there tend to judge by observing the kind of handbags you carry.

“If you carry certain bags, you won’t look smart to them, and that’s how they’ll discriminate you,” she explained.

It’s no wonder the Chinese tourist was pleasantly surprised by the warm treatment by the salespeople in Pavilion KL.

You can listen to the clip below.
