Wild and stray animals are often prone to abuse and violence from humans. However, it seems that pets under the care of humans can also get abused.

Recently, a local TikToker has been under fire over suspicion of animal cruelty. The allegations came after a video of her giving a makeover to her pet monkey made its way online.

In the video, which has since been deleted, the TikTok user applied foundation, lipstick, and mascara, amongst other things, onto her pet monkey.

Report her for animal abuse!

Although the TikTok user has deleted the video, netizens shared it on Twitter, where plenty of netizens have called the user out for abusing the monkey.

An Indonesian netizen said, “Please help me report her. She’s putting make-up on a monkey.”

“The mascara almost hit its eye. The lip tint was licked when we don’t even know whether or not it was ‘food grade’. And we have no idea what are the risk of allergies,” they added.

“Report her. Please (do) not use the bodies of animals for (the purposes) of creating content and (gaining) popularity,” said a user.

Another netizen expressed their sadness over the video and the monkey’s condition. “I hope Allah saves you from becoming a victim of this heartless human. Although it looks like something normal, it shouldn’t be.

“Please stop this kind of stupidity! Not only are you taking in a wild animal as a pet but also doing these kinds of abuse. If you need a model, please find someone, don’t use animals for that,” said a concerned netizen.

Although we may all love our pets very dearly, it does not give us an excuse to do whatever we want to them just for content and fame.
