The Phone of the Future: Fonkraft

The phrase “the world is at your fingertips” was never so literal until smartphones were invented. These little handheld devices allows us to connect to the internet, which is technically “the world”. Whatever you need, you WILL find it online.

Besides your usual big brands, a new project called Fonkraft was recently launched on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding site. What makes this phone so special is that it’s built in modular form.

This phone comes in components so it is easily customisable, upgradeble and most importantly, cost friendly. So for example, if your screen is cracked or broken, you can get only the screen replaced, instead of buying a phone new phone! Too cool! The developers expect it to be done and have it shipped in Sept 2015.

There are 4 choices to choose from.

1. Fonkraft Pilot $99 – The Basic

2. Fonkraft Revolution $199 – For photographers

3. Fonkraft Hifi $199 – For audiophiles

4. Fonkraft Elements $299 – Contain all modules

Not convinced yet? Here’s a comparison table.

The best part? It ships for free!

Ofcourse, take note that this is a crowdfunding project and there are risks that the project does not get through. So either wait for it to be released in retail stores, or if you’re keen and believe in this project so ahead and grab one here!
