A common dilemma for pet owners is whether they should let their furbabies stay outdoors or indoors. Letting them live indoors may keep them safe as it is easier for pet owners to keep an eye out for them. However, this may limit them from strolling about in their own free will. So, what is the ideal solution?

This Thai woman, Sasamon Sophin resolved this matter by being extremely creative. She built a cat haven right at the top of her home in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

She took to her Facebook page to share beautiful pictures of her built-in cat haven and netizens raved about it!

Just right above her porch, Sasamon installed for her five cats a home of their own. This cat paradise is barricaded by a large cage connected to the roof! This would allow her cats to roam freely and enjoy the fresh air without Sasamon worrying if they would ever go missing.

She tried her best to make the space as comfortable as possible for her furbabies. She even filled up empty spaces with potted plants along with cat ladders and beds for them to lay on.

To ensure that her cats will get more of that ‘outdoor feel’, she created a spot where her cats could climb to the top of the roof as their own open-air attic!

Sasamon told World of Buzz that she got the idea of building the cat haven after one of her cats ran away.

“I made the cat haven because my cat ran out of the house, and when it came back it’d been bitten. So I got worried that it would be in danger,” Sasamon told World of Buzz.

“But if I were to lock the cat in the house, I’m afraid the cat would be stressed. So I built the cat haven for my cats,” she said.

Sasamon added on to say that she hired someone to help assemble the front structure, which cost her roughly THB70,000 to THB80,000. That’s almost RM10,000! However, Sasamon says that it was worth the investment.

“Every cat is looking for a home, so I take care of them because I want all these cats to live a better life,” she told us. And we can’t agree more!
