Law enforcement agencies’ primary purpose is to make sure the public abides by the law and to maintain civil peace. But what happens when a policeman pulls out a gun and points it at another police officer?

Ipoh’s Pekan Baru police station was in for a shock last Monday, February 17th. According to an article published by the Star, a police lance corporal was found pointing a pistol at her colleague because of a heated argument! This incident happened in the report counter of the police station, with two other policemen as witnesses. Fortunately, the gun was then pulled away by one of the officers.

The argument involved a 33-year-old policewoman and a 35-year-old police corporal and occurred around 5.10pm. Perak’s Police Chief Comm Datuk Razarudin Husain confirmed the authenticity of the issue and stated that it was due to a misunderstanding between the both police officers.

This threatening situation prompted an internal investigation. In spite of the internal investigation, both of the police officers are reported to be still on duty.
