And in case you’re considering a trip to the land of koalas and kangaroos, here’s an itinerary by Contiki with all the exciting and memorable things you can do in just six days:

There’s just something about mountains that draw us to them regardless of where we are in the world, and the Blue Mountains is no different.

While not actually blue in colour, the majestic Blue Mountains and its surroundings may appear blue due to the haze that blankets it. This “blue haze” is caused by the droplets of Eucalyptus oil in the air combined with dust particles.

While you’re here, you can be sure to enjoy the cool, fresh air and learn about the legends behind the famous Three Sisters rock formation.

DAY 2: Sightsee your way through this iconic harbour city by…

Visiting Mrs. Macquerie’s Chair

In case you didn’t know, Mrs. Macquerie (a.k.a. Elizabeth or Lady Macquerie) was the wife of Governor Lachlan Macquerie from over 150 years ago. Mrs. Macquerie was known to frequent this very spot to enjoy the majestic, panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the mountains in the distance.

In view of this, the historic chair which was carved out of a rock ledge was then named after her and visitors can now visit Mrs. Macquerie’s Chair anytime and enjoy the same view.

Dropping by the Opera House

Located on the eastern suburb of Sydney, a ferry ride is the best way to get here. With the impressive views along the way, this ferry ride will not disappoint.

Get ready to whip out your cameras and snap stunning photos that will surely be the envy of many.

Arguably one of the most famous beaches in Sydney, you can expect an amazing time here. If you’re up for a walk, be sure to give the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk a try. We promise you’ll enjoy the view!

Beyond the beachfront strip, Campbell Parade, also lies a village of cafes, restaurants, and designer shops. This is where many locals often dedicate their entire weekend to the “Bondi Bubble”. Take photos of the well-known Bondi Icebergs pool while you’re at it.

DAY 3: Enjoy a free and easy day where you can create your own adventure

Experience a peaceful and rejuvenating yoga session on the beach of Byron Bay! Imagine busting some Yoga moves on the soft white sand while you listen to waves crashing in the distance. So peaceful!

Or opt to join the Sunrise Lighthouse Tour where you will roll out of bed before the sun rises and make it in time to catch nature’s spectacular show as the sun makes its appearance sweeping over the land and sea.

For beer lovers, a beer tasting at Byron Bay’s homegrown brewery is a must where you get to taste Ozzy handcrafted beers.

DAY 6: Grab some brunch before saying goodbye to the land down under

After almost a week of exciting activities, it’s time to pack up and get ready to head back home. But not before enjoying a nice, Ozzy brunch at any one of the many cafes nearby!

Popular with both locals and visitors, Bayleaf cafe is a true Byron staple, serving up an inventive menu of fresh and healthy breakfasts. Another top pick for coffee in Byron is Dip, the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy a long and laidback breakfast before you catch your flight.
