For one night only, from PM to AM, where the cold bites and the hills echo, Sunset by NEON presents UPPERGROUND — hosted by ARTBAT.
Set high above the clouds in Genting Highlands, Sunset by NEON returns with one of its boldest and most ambitious lineups to date, bringing together globally celebrated artists, regional debuts, and sounds that have shaped dancefloors worldwide.
Headlining the night are ARTBAT, the Ukrainian duo behind some of melodic techno’s most defining records, including “Horizon”, “For A Feeling”, “Upperground”, “Atlas” and their globally acclaimed remix of “Empire of the Sun – We Are The People”. Known for commanding stages at Tomorrowland, Afterlife, Zamna, Ultra Music Festival and Ushuaïa Ibiza, ARTBAT now bring their visionary concept UPPERGROUND to Malaysia for the very first time.
Joining them is Dutch-Moroccan superstar R3HAB, one of the world’s most-streamed electronic artists and a globally recognised festival headliner. In recent years, R3HAB has increasingly crossed into the melodic techno space, including his highly anticipated collaborations with ARTBAT, such as “Flight Mode”, making this a rare convergence of two worlds on one stage. Despite performing across Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival, this marks a highly anticipated return to Malaysia.
Also making his long-awaited Malaysian debut is Chris Avantgarde, the visionary producer behind “Consciousness” with Anyma — one of the most recognisable records in the melodic techno movement. A regular across Afterlife and major European festivals, Chris Avantgarde’s cinematic soundscapes and emotional productions have built a dedicated following across Asia despite his limited appearances in the region.
Rounding out the international support are PlastiK Funk and 7SKIES — artists known for high-energy festival performances and productions played by some of dance music’s biggest names worldwide.
