Many netizens were enraged at the way the authorities manhandled the poor, scared stray pup and a few of you wondered what happened to it after it was taken away.

Rest assured, as the stray doggo is safely being taken care of at the MPSJ pound. Teoh Teik Hoong, editor of SJ Echo, actually paid a visit to the pound yesterday to say hi to our furry friend.

“There has been a lot of talk that the dog is dead or injured, but from what we can see, the dog is okay, has no physical injuries, and there is also food and water for it.”

While the doggo is being treated well, the poor thing is still looking for owners to call family. According to Malay Mail, the stray will be up for adoption but any organisation or individual that wants to take him in will have to get him vaccinated and licensed first.

“It’s still a bit dirty, cause it’s a stray, there still is a lot that needs to be done in terms of vaccinations and cleaning up the ticks and fleas I can see sticking out from its body.”

Meanwhile, Koh Tat Meng and wife Diong Mei Lee, the couple that got involved in the heated dispute with the MPSJ officers that aggressively handled the stray, have since taken legal action against the state council workers.

Koh was detained by the police at his home and was brought to Puchong Utama police station after the council workers filed a report against him, saying that he was “getting in the way of their duty.”

Koh has made a report of his own and is currently insisting that the councilmen apologise to him for the unfair arrest. According to FMT, Koh’s lawyer said that,

“He (Koh) did not stop them, he merely pleaded with them to not torture the dog. Therefore, his arrest is unfair and should not have been done in the first place.”

Since blowing up on social media, the case has also been brought to the attention of the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, who has expressed her regret over the aggressive treatment of the poor doggo.

What do you think should happen to these MPSJ workers? Should they apologise? Let us know in the comments below!
