Besides his trial, popular preacher Ebit Liew is also wrapped in another controversy recently after a Singaporean personality and host revealed that the philanthropist allegedly caused an event organiser to lose SGD10,000 or approximately RM34,692.

Taking to Facebook, the Singaporean host, Roslan revealed that Ebit Liew cancelled an appearance at the Singapore Expo event at the last minute when he had already agreed to participate.

Furthermore, the organiser had already booked the hotel accommodation for the preacher, blast out marketing materials with him on them and paid for the event space rental.

Roslan also shared his disappointment at Ebit Liew and his management after they didn’t even notify him or the event organiser that the preacher would not be attending the event as promised, but instead going to perform Hajj in Mecca.

The Singaporean host also shared several screenshots of his WhatsApp conversation with Ebit Liew’s manager, who claimed that he also only knew about the preacher going to Mecca at the last minute.

Roslan himself only knew about Ebit Liew cancelling his attendance after the event organiser contacted him to ask about the matter.

This was after Ebit Liew shared on social media that he is currently in Mecca performing the Hajj, hence it would be impossible for him to attend the event.

Being the mediator between the event organiser and Ebit Liew, Roslan said that he will be paying for the SGD10,000 losses to the latter, despite the whole situation was not his fault.
