We all know of the Sivagangga cluster which originated from a nasi kandar stall operator.

The owner of the shop was arrested and compounded RM1,000 for not obeying home quarantine rules after returning from India on the 13 July. While he tested negative upon his return, he was tested positive on 29 July along with five others who were in close contact with him.

The cluster now has 45 positive cases (one in the ICU) while 5,826 people were screened. People were enraged when they learnt about this issue and they want justice to prevail since our daily cases were already on the low prior to this cluster.

According to a tweet by Bernama, the owner of the nasi kandar stall will be jailed for five months and fined of RM12,000.

It has also been reported by Awani that the nasi kandar stall has been ordered to close and to be sealed permanently by the Kedah state government.

Kedah MB, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor says that further actions will be taken when the TEMCO (Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order) ends on 30 August.

The nasi kandar stall has been sealed and shut down.

The Ministry of Health is currently conducting investigations to identify the possibility that the Sivagangga PUI cluster from Kedah, which has infected 45 people so far, might be a Covid-19 super spreader cluster.
