Since last week, we’ve been encountering some selfish Malaysians who being PUS (Person Under Surveillance) chose to ignore home-quarantine rules and went outdoors about their own business.

Besides posing a health risk, they’ve also affected multiple businesses as customers are now afraid to visit the shops the PUS have visited. Another inconvenience they have caused is making our already overworked medical frontliners, work harder to make sure those who were in close contact with the PUS get screened for Covid-19.

Penang Kini posted pictures of our frontliners screening those who visited Nasi Kandar Napoh, Jitra, Perak after six non-citizens from the Sivagangga cluster were tested positive.

Netizens who visited the establishment queueing up to get their health screening.

The owner of the shop was arrested and compounded RM1,000 for not obeying home quarantine rules after returning from India on the 13th of July. While he tested negative upon his return, he was tested positive yesterday along with five others who were in close contact with him from the cluster.

Kubang Pasu District Head Police told Harian Metro that the premise was immediately ordered to close down however they believe that many customers have visited the shop from 13th July to 24th July.

“We advise those who visited the shop who are considered the closest contact should immediately go to the district health office or a nearby health clinic to undergo screening treatment.”

However, it’s still worrying as the ones visited the shop are not only Napoh residents but also lorry drivers from Bukit Kayu Hitam, Perlis travelling south and as of now, they have not been unidentified.

See how one person’s selfish actions can affect so many people? To those under home quarantine rules, please just STAY HOME! If you happened to visit Nasi Kandar Napoh from the 13th July to 24th July, get screened immediately.
