If you have been online recently, chances are, you have seen the infamous ‘Rosmah’ Halloween parody courtesy of Singaporean blogger Xiaxue. It was so scary that it immediately got our attention to write about her awesome transformation.

Sadly and shockingly, the initial parody video showing ‘Rosmah’ waving her Birkins had received mixed reactions from Malaysians with quite a large number expressing anger towards the blogger.

Xiaxue said,

“I am shocked to see many people pissed off and asking me to respect Rosmah.”

In a full makeup tutorial video posted on her Youtube channel, she explained that the reason she decided to dress up as Rosmah for Halloween was because it was the second-most popular request by her followers.

In the video, she also said, “Think about it, what’s scarier than rampant corruption in a country, right? So very, very apt for Halloween.”

Keep your hate comments coming people!! I love any form of attention ? I especially appreciate the lengthy Malay comments because I can’t understand them so I imagine you guys are saying I’m so talented and pretty lol! ⠀ I love how stupid people always say the same boring insults… plastic lah, babi lah, Singaporean lah, Chinese lah… erm none of these are insulting? Can try harder not ? ⠀ Don’t try to make this a SG vs Malaysia thing. After 1MDB Singaporeans were all rooting for our Malaysian friends during the elections and we cheered together with them when the results came out. Their high spirits of hope and renewed faith was infectious and Singapore felt it too. Disliking the Razaks isn’t equal to disliking Malaysia at all. ? ⠀ I am completely flummoxed by the fact that Najib/Rosmah actually still has supporters. ? how is it possible?! I thought everyone hated them?! Do people not watch the news? Of billions embezzled? Of 72 suitcases of cash, branded watches and birkins etc seized from properties linked to them? Of Altantuyaa?! I’m just… speechless… truly. You want me to show respect to Rosmah? Why?! Why on earth would I respect crooked politicians?! I’d sooner respect a used condom than Rosmah? ⠀ The video will be out today. Probably in the evening. If you are pissed by a 2 second silent preview you NOT gonna like the full 10 min video, this I can promise. ? I can’t wait to piss the village idiots off more, it’s gonna be so fun! For my Malaysian friends and followers who are so excited about this video, this is for you guys, and the cherry on top of the cake is watching the idiotic Najib supporters get hopping mad ☺️ ⠀ I’ll post on my ig stories when the video is up! Or you can subscribe to my YouTube channel at http://youtube.com/xiaxue ? ⠀ #neverapologize #neverbackdown #xiaxueasrosmah

In a separate post on Instagram, she also stated that the support some people still have for Rosmah and Najib had left her speechless.

She said,

“I am completely bamboozled by the fact that Najib and Rosmah actually have supporters. How is it possible?! I thought everyone hated them?! Do people not watch the news? Of billions embezzled? Of 72 suitcases of cash, branded watches and Birkins etc. seized from properties linked to them?”

She also questioned, “You want me to show respect to Rosmah? Why?! Why on earth would I respect crooked politicians?!”

Later on, she said that she actually loved the attention, ignoring insults targeted towards her.

However, she stressed that her actions should not be used to pit Singapore against Malaysia because the islanders were supporting their mainland neighbours.

She continued,

“Don’t try to make this a SG vs Malaysia thing. After 1MDB, Singaporeans were all rooting for our Malaysian friends during the elections and we cheered together with them when the results came out. Their high spirits of hope and renewed faith was infectious and Singapore felt it too. Disliking the Razaks isn’t equal to disliking Malaysia at all.”

She then dedicated the video tutorial to all her Malaysian friends and supporters, even saying that it would be fun to upset some of Najib’s supporters.

Were you upset by Xiaxue’s video tutorial of Rosmah or did you have a good laugh? It’s really up to your interpretation so do share with us your thoughts of this in the comments below!
