What would you do to support your family during tough times? For a 13-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother in China, it means selling ice lollies to help their mother who suffers from polio.

This heartwarming story has touched many on social media in China, and for good reason.

It may seem like a small gesture, but it’s a testament to the power of resilience and determination.

As reported by other Chinese portals, their journey to success was not an easy one. They rode their bicycles – 3km to a tourist site to sell their lollies during the recent May Day holiday. Despite the low profit margin of less than 1 yuan (0.64 Malaysian cents) per lolly, they managed to sell over 1,000 ice lollies in just three days.

It’s a testament to their hard work and dedication to helping their family.

The mother was touched by the support of her children and mentioned that they have been assisting around the house from a very young age.

This story is a reminder that we can all do our part to help those around us. Whether it’s selling ice lollies, volunteering at a local charity, or simply offering a kind word to someone in need, we all have the power to make a difference.

In the end, it’s not the size of the gesture that matters, but the love and determination behind it. These siblings have shown us that anything is possible with hard work and dedication, and that we should never underestimate the power of a small act of kindness.
