Local businessman Khairul Aming has been in the spotlight numerous times for his humility and good treatment of staff.

A few months ago, he even gave his staff shopping money and treated them to a theme park for a company retreat!

It appears that he’s back at it again as he recently shared a video about how he closed down his ‘Sambal Nyet’ factory for 2 days in order to take his staff on holiday.

In a social media post, Khairul wrote, “2 days ago, we closed down the ‘Sambal Nyet’ factory so that I could take all of my staff on holiday at a resort. It was a casual trip, just to rest and enjoy nature. I made a fruit cocktail for everyone to try. Overall it was a fun trip.”

He said that he booked out the whole resort for all of his staff (which consisted of around 50-60 employees) and that the resort has 17 chalets.

They went swimming, did some archery and other fun activities.

“For the company retreat I didn’t want to have speeches or anything. They come just to rest and enjoy.”

The best boss ever?

The video which was posted by Khairul has amassed plenty of attention and currently sits on over 397,300 views. Plenty of Malaysians took to the comments section to praise Khairul for being the best boss an employee could ever have.

“KA’s company can appreciate its staff whilst ‘big companies’ that have billions of profit don’t know how to appreciate its staff.”

“Now that’s a retreat/gathering! No need for speeches or group activities or sharing sessions, all those boring cringey stuff,” said a user.

Meanwhile, influencer and TikToker Ceddy, praised Khairul for being the best boss.

“Your level of casual is very different! Now you set the bar so high for us employers! But on a serious note, you really take care of them well.”
