Good news for all Selangor citizens!

The Darul Ehsan Water Scheme which entails free water for all Selangor citizens is finally set to take place in 1st March 2020. However, in order to be eligible for this scheme, residents of Selangor must apply online before 31st December 2019.

Initially proposed in April 2008, the Free Water Program is aimed at distributing free treated water to targeted Malaysian citizens who live in Selangor with a monthly household income of less than RM 4,000, regardless of marital status.

In the case of residential premises, account holders will be separated according to individual meters and bulk meters for low-cost apartments. Those in low-cost apartments that receive water through bulk meters must firstly seek approval from the Joint Management Agency (JMB) or Management Corporation (MC), following reports from Siakap Keli.

The current scheme that allows Selangorians to enjoy 20 cubic meters of free water will expire on 29th February 2020. Hence, citizens are advised to apply for a new application under the Darul Ehsan Water Scheme immediately to continue enjoying free water supply at the start of March next year.

If you are eligible for the scheme, you can apply here! Or you can fill up the application form which can be downloaded from www.airselangor.com

You can also obtain a physical application form from the Selangor Water Management Regional Office Service Counter and email the completed form to moc.rognalesriaobfsctd-37881d@riarpi.
