If you thought your dorm rooms in uni was bad, wait till you get a load of this! Pun totally intended.

A middle school in Guizhou province had accidentally accepted more students than they had the accommodation for, reported Sohu. In keeping up with the enterprising spirit, the school figured that since each dormitory had both communal bathrooms and private bathrooms on every floor, they might as well convert the public bathrooms into dorm rooms for the surplus students!

It’s pretty interesting to note that the school’s idea of converting bathrooms to habitable dorm rooms include placing a bunk bed on top of a squat toilet filled with cement.

Ta-dah!

After getting wind of how their dorm rooms went viral, the school in question has reached out to the media to clarify that these rooms are temporary measures. However, students have reported that the school’s claims are utter bullsh*t. Yes, that pun was also totally intended.

Apparently, the school has dropped the bomb on the students by telling them that they are here to study and not to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle, therefore need to learn to overcome difficulties.

Meanwhile, netizens are appalled by the living conditions:

“Students aren’t at school ‘for comfort,’ but they aren’t there to be abused either,” one netizen wrote.

“Haha, this space should be renovated to be the Principal’s Office,” joked another.

“Let the school officials try living there first,” a Weibo user commented.

The Ministry of Education is reported to be looking into this and hopefully resolve this big dump of a situation.
