Malaysia has always been known for championing street artists, with multiple alleys and lanes being dedicated to the creativity of these artists.

But, did you know that not all the murals you see are by local artists?

Some of the art you see around Malaysia was actually done by Russian artist, Julia Volchkova, and guess what? She’s coming back to Malaysia to make more!

Taking to her official Facebook page, she wrote,

“February 4th, 2023, Malaysia. I’m coming back! I want to create a new street art. Let’s make history again.”

Among her most famous pieces displayed around Malaysia are the ‘Goldsmith’ at Jalan Panggung (Kuala Lumpur), the ‘Loving Sisters’ in Muar (Johor) and the ‘Indian Boatman’ in Georgetown (Penang).
