According to The Star, she arrived at court around 8.28am dressed in an orange batik baju kurung and matching scarf, heavily guarded with police. However, she did have a warm smile on her face for her supporters.

She had spent the night in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s lockup after being arrested yesterday (October 3). It was reported by The Star that she will be slapped with 17 charges, under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (AMLATFPUAA) 2001 involving approximately RM7 million. These charges involve tax evasion as well.

On the same day, her husband, Najib will be in court as well as he faces High Court Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali for case management. He is currently facing 32 charges that include criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering of funds linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and its offshoot company, SRC International Sdn Bhd.

One of the reporters from Channel News Asia at the court right now, Sumisha reports that the prosecution has asked for RM10 million bail with two conditions, that her passport is surrendered and that she is banned from meeting any of the prosecution’s witnesses. However, Rosmah’s lawyer is arguing for RM250,000 bail instead.
