A no-show is when a customer books a table, room or appointment but cannot turn up when the time arrives. What’s even worse is that they don’t notify you, and there’s rarely an excuse or legitimate reason offered thereafter.

Taking to TikTok, one restaurateur shared a story of how one customer became a no show, despite booking food to feed nine people for Iftar.

Here is a video of her outburst.

In her TikTok, she shared: “Subhanallah, I can’t believe that even in the holy month of Ramadan, people continue to cheat one another.”

“It is already tough, running a restaurant. You could have just called beforehand to cancel your booking.”

Based on the video, you can see that there are several dishes prepared for the customer, but when the owner contacted the customer, she received no reply.

“If a person is making a booking for dinner, my advice is for them to pay a deposit first.”
