Taking to TikTok, the Gerik Islamic Religious Department shared how they nabbed Muslims who did not fast during Ramadan in a sting operation that took place in the district.

You would think, at first, that the culprits responsible for the crime would be amongst those of a younger age, but in this video, it can be seen that those who were found guilty, were not young at all.

Equipped with their JAIPk uniforms, the video began with officers storming a local eatery, with the image of a man rushing away with a black plastic bag in hand.

For those who are not too familiar with how people buy food to cheat their fast, it is common to see people walking around with black plastic bags in their hands, to hide the contents on the inside.

In the accompanying status update, the state religious department writes: “This was not a reenactment by professionals, but is a video of what really took place during our recent operations.”

The comments section had this to say about the video.

“I can’t believe that the man did not let go of the food he bought while running away.”

Watch the video below:

Let’s hope that others out there will observe their fast throughout the month of Ramadan. Puasa jangan tak puasa tau.
