Many people love a good royalty love story, and some even fantasise about getting married to either a prince or a princess.

In the South-East Asia region, one of the most eligible bachelors who is also an avid polo player, Prince Mateen of Brunei is now off the market as he is scheduled to get married in January 2024. We can hear the sound of many hearts breaking right about now!

The news comes from Radio Televisyen Brunei and was announced to the entire nation during the news section.

It is said that he will be getting married to Anisha Rosnah binti Adam, who is the granddaughter of Pehin Dato Haji Isa, a special advisor to the Sultan of Brunei, reported Astro Awani.

According to The Scoop, the wedding ceremonies will take place over the span of 10 days:  the royal proposal will be on 7 January, the solemnisation on 11 January and the royal wedding reception will take place at the Istana Nurul Iman on 14 January.

The royal couple will then go on a procession around the capital of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan and a banquet will be held on 15 January.
